Ongoing Equity Work

Our Commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (JEDI)

As a community arts organization made up of arts educators, we have a responsibility to prioritize racial equity and injustice as a crucial part of our work.  As a learning institution, questions around equity have been integral and ongoing to our work since its inception in 2005.

Using a human centered approach, we are committed to continual growth on racial equity both internally through our work environment and externally through our programming.

> We are committed to dismantling racism and injustice and we stay committed to creating safe space for all embracing equity, inclusivity, and diversity.
> We are committed to inclusive programming and strive to ensure that all people have access to developing self-awareness, a deep understanding of culture and self-expression, and a connection to other human beings.
> We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and fostering mutual respect for diverse beliefs and values of all individuals and groups.
> We commit to policies and practices of cultural equity that empower just, inclusive, equitable programs and practices in our organization.
